FAQ - About HUB

General

Why join HUB?

Unlike any other initiative, HUB brings together diverse groups from around the world to interact and discuss mHealth issues. Powered by the community, HUB is the social network needed for the collective development of innovative mhealth solutions.

How do I register?

Registering is simple. Just enter your name and email address and you’re in! Anyone can register to start exploring HUB right away.

Who uses HUB?

Hub is for anyone interested in advancing the use of technology for health–developers, donors or health service providers. HUB bridges divides and eliminates barriers to meaningful mHealth action and interaction.

Can I advertise or promote my project or tool on HUB?

The database is not a space for promotion or advertising. HUB is a place to highlight your work and ideas in mHealth. The database is a high-quality, timely, and searchable collection of global mHealth and eHealth activity meant to educate and illuminate the interested public.

Do I have to tag my entries to the database?

All entries must be tagged by type: organization, technology, policy or program. Blog entries also need to be tagged. Tagging is a way to categorize information — making it easier for you and your fellow HUB users to find the information you want.

How do I become a guest blogger?

If you’d like to write an issue piece, technology review, or profile of an organization or program on the intersections of health and technology, email us at guestblog@healthunbound.org.

How can I get involved?

  • Search HUB to see who’s working in your area of interest, and contact them.
  • Join discussions and make comments.
  • Create new groups under the initiative space.
  • Write blog posts.
  • Ask questions and be an expert.

How do I report someone who is adding false information to the site?

Please notify an administrator of the site by emailing help@healthunbound.org with details of the person you’re reporting and examples of the offending content.

Database

How do I add an entry to the database?

At the top left of the main page you’ll find a button that allows you to add your program, technology, organization, or policy.

Why can’t I see my entry in the database?

All entries are expected to be complete and up-to-date before they are posted. After submitting your entry, HUB will confirm that your entry has been received. Someone from our helpful HUB team will then get in touch with you to complete your entry. This process may take up to 72 hours.

How do I find what’s happening in mHealth in my country?

Use the map interface to find information on a specific country.
