A free SMS service for expectant mothers and families that provides appointment reminders and tips on keeping mothers and newborns healthy. The subject matter of messages and the timing of delivery correspond with the woman's due date. The service, which is part of national media campaign, Wazazi Nipendeni (Parents Love Me), is creating demand for and promoting use of ante-natal clinics and related services, such as in the prevention of mother-to-child transmission, improving compliance with regular care visits and treatment regimens, and increasing health workers professionalism and efficiency.
